The Blood, The Soil

I've been sitting there in the corner, waiting

Carving hopes with a rusty blade deep in my mind, anticipating

Planting seeds of false belief in the cracks in my soul

As my shadow danced on the wall

I've witnessed my mind go to war, murdered

Breaking and entering unchartered homes, racing

Pillaging the colors of my self portraits, defacing

As my every breath struggles out of the massive cave-in

Watching the memories fall in place above my head, a tombstone lay

Watching as i fell in place, the Icarus way

Days fell off the calendar, filled the grave

As the welcoming comitte formed, Worms and Snakes

A smile of vengance, the last rusty nail

Hammered in my chest, pushed all the way

The Blood froze in terror, stiffened crate

The soil consumed it all, a black rose emerged again
