Say what you will ... in words that will fade forever
My words are stronger .. because nobody cares to listen
Nobody witnesses their birth ... just the fruitless endeavor
as the shadow of my footsteps along the shores of time

The queue for self mutilation is longer than you might expect
with wielders of torches, and poems of self lament
as the priests recite their sermons about repentance and regret
for a world that is dying young

Wipe-out my smiles and have me painted in black and blue
upon the canvas of your stereotypical dreams
in a land of many moons ... there upon the rocky bay
you watch me with sadness and dismay ... as i fade away

Distilled thoughts of pure devotion speak so little of what's to come
they jump for joy and strive for fun ... dancing with the wicked one
they shall pay dearly ... oh yes they will ... their arrogance shall overspill
and they shall say what they will ..
time will tell
